Hello, I am 26 years old female, One of my friends told me about gripe water to treat my son’s upset stomach. He cries all night due to bloating. Please suggest what should I do? Should I give him gripe water? Is it safe for him? He is 6 months old.

@inaa Hello, Gripe water is an over-the-counter liquid supplement of sodium bicarbonate and herbs (like fennel, ginger, chamomile, dill, lemon balm, or peppermint, depending on the formula). Gripe water is not recommended for babies younger than 1 month. The digestive tract is sensitive and still developing at this age. It could potentially worsen a baby's reflux symptoms. You should also avoid gripe water containing gluten, dairy, parabens, and vegetable carbon. Thank You.
