Hello, I am 34 years old female. My doctor told me that fruits like guava and tomato cause gall stone. The size of the stone is too large. I used to have pain in my back, leg, and lower abdomen. Please tell. Is it true that eating guava causes gall stone?

@tya Hello, Foods containing seeds like tomato, guava, brinjal etc need not be avoided by patients having kidney stones as seeds do not increase the potential of stone formation. Stones are of different types, for example, calcium stones, urate stones, oxalate stones, etc. On the basis of the nature of the stone, diet needs to be altered.
