How can I increase my metabolism?

Hello, I am 22 years old female. I gained 4 kgs in the last six months. I have thyroid and cervical issues. I can’t indulge in heavy workouts as they cause cervical pain. I am avoiding cheese, fast food, and I may not exercise but I go on a walk. I still gained 4 kgs. I have low metabolism. Please suggest what should I do to increase my metabolism?
