Hello, it is always recommended that one should read at least 30 minutes a day. According to a few studies that reading as little as 6 minutes per day can improve your quality of sleep, reduce stress, and sharpen mental acuity. Reading strengthens the neural circuits and pathways of our brain while lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Some articles also suggested that one should read before bedtime and after getting up. Is true that reading will improve one's mental health? If yes then please let me know how does it improve.

@anvisha-j Hello, Yes it is true. Reading books, particularly fiction, fully engages the mind and imagination. Any activity that possesses meditative qualities in which the brain is fully focused on a single task is proven to reduce stress and enhance relaxation. The benefits of reading expand beyond reduced anxiety and stress. According to a few studies, Individuals who read regularly across their lifespan showed increased mental capacity as they age. Reading also helps in lifting mood and better sleep. It is a perfect mindful exercise. You should read daily. Thanks.
