Difficulty in breathing after skipping corticosteroid asthma inhaler. Why?
-
Hello, I am 38 years old male. Corticosteroids asthma inhalers have controlled my breathing problem for years. Why do I feel some difficulty in breathing when I try to skip a dose even a day? I was born asthmatic but now every time I try to skip it for a day I experience difficulty in breathing. Why?

@meher Hello, my suggestion for you to visit a pulmonologist to know the reason behind the difficulty in breathing but you’ll have to take this steroid. You can try to better your condition by performing a few breathing exercises like Diaphragmatic breathing, Nasal breathing, Buteyko breathing, Pursed lip breathing. These breathing exercises and practicing them regularly may help you gain more control over your asthma symptoms. They might also allow you to cut down on your use of asthma medication. Thanks
