How to treat PCOS acne?
Hello, I am 18 years old, female. Last summer I gained 3kgs in a month and I developed acne on the sides of my face and neck, I visited a dermatologist to get it treated. My dermatologist asked me to take a blood test to know the real cause of my acne after seeing my blood result he then suggested a gynecologist after visiting a gynecologist I came to know that I am suffering from PCOS although I had irregular periods twice so I thought it was normal to miss period once or twice. I joined a gym to control my weight but how can I treat my acne? Please let me know Thanks.
@ridha Hello, PCOS is the most common reproductive endocrine condition among women. Along with PCOS acne can be caused by excess oil production, bacteria, excess hormone activity, and stress. You can treat PCOS acne by taking over-the-counter medications prescribed by the doctor. You can make certain lifestyle changes as well and wash your face twice a day, Follow up each cleansing with an oil-free moisturizer suited for your skin type, Avoid picking and scratching blemishes and Use non-comedogenic makeup. Thanks
