Hello, for the last few months I have been having red, itchy scaly patches on my elbow. It was getting intense so I visited a doctor then I came to know that I have psoriasis. I got to know a lot of people who get psoriatic arthritis were previously diagnosed with psoriasis. I want to know How long after developing psoriasis do people usually get diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis? Please let me know what can I do to prevent it. Thanks.

@joshun Hello, It tends to develop 5 to 10 years after psoriasis is diagnosed, although some people may have problems with their joints before they notice any skin-related symptoms. Like psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis is thought to happen as a result of the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy tissue.
You can prevent psoriatic arthritis by changing your lifestyle like exercising, meditation, and eating healthy food. Thanks.
