Hello, I am 33 years old female. For the last few days, I have been having vaginal discharge more than usual and a burning sensation while peeing. Doctors told me that I have a yeast infection but I thought I have been reinfected with bacterial vaginosis as earlier I had the same symptoms. Can anyone how yeast infection and BV are different?

@yahama Bacterial vaginosis (BV) and yeast infections are both common forms of vaginitis. BV and yeast infections can both cause unusual vaginal discharge. Discharge from a yeast infection is usually a thick, white consistency and doesn’t have a scent. Discharge from BV is thin, yellow, or gray, and carries a strong unpleasant odor. To treat BV doctors prescribe antibiotics and to treat yeast infection doctors prescribe antifungal medications. Thanks
