Hello, I am 25 years old woman. I am in the second trimester of my pregnancy. I have been experiencing a lot of bloating, indigestion, and heartburn lately. I confessed this to my doctor they said it is normal during pregnancy nothing to worry about. I want to know what is the reason behind heartburn during pregnancy? What causes symptoms like heartburn, bloating, and indigestion?

@riicha-0 Indigestion, bloating and heartburn are caused due to changes in hormonal level and by the presence of a baby inside the stomach As your baby grows, your uterus gets bigger. It can crowd your stomach and push stomach acids upward, into your esophagus. Also, progesterone can cause the lower esophageal sphincter to relax. When it relaxes, stomach acid can move up into the esophagus. It is also known as Esophageal sphincter relaxing.
