Hello, I am 29 years old female. I tested positive for both BV and yeast infection. How is this possible? I was having a burning sensation while urinating and itching around the vaginal area. I am confused about how can I have BV and yeast infections at the same? Please let me know am I at a risk? Should I be worried?

@shivanii Hello, It’s possible to have a yeast infection and BV at the same time. BV and yeast infections can both cause unusual vaginal discharge. Discharge from a yeast infection is usually a thick, white consistency and doesn’t have a scent. Discharge from BV is thin, yellow, or gray, and carries a strong unpleasant odor. Take all the preventive measures. Thanks!
