Is yellow nails a symptom of any deficiency?
-
Hello, why does my aunt have yellow nails? I have seen her yellow nails since childhood. Is it a symptom of any sort of deficiency? According to a few studies, Nails can tell a lot about overall health. Discolored nails are also a symptom of nail fungus but if she had nail fungus then she might get it treated. I am a bit worried about her. Please let me know in the comments if yellow nails are a symptom of any deficiency? What needs to be done?

@kimm-0 Hello, yes Vitamin or mineral deficiencies can cause nails to appear yellow, and introducing a multivitamin supplement to the regiment may stop the problem. nails that remain yellow despite repeated treatment can be a symptom of thyroid, psoriasis, or diabetes. In a few cases, yellow nails can indicate the presence of skin cancer. A condition called yellow nail syndrome (YNS) is indicated by continually yellow nails and respiratory or lymphatic problems. Treatment of yellow nails will depend on the cause. It is advised to take the doctor’s advice. Thanks!
