Every day I wake up sore throat along with that I sometimes experience dry mouth and bloating. It usually happens in winter. I am 33 years old male. Is it normal to wake up with a sore throat? Is it a thing to worry about as I have been waking up with a sore throat for a long time and it hurts a lot sometimes? Please let me know the reason behind waking up with a sore throat. Thank You!

@kalpish Hello, waking up sore throat along with bloating could be the symptom of GERD. Other causes for waking up with a sore throat are Snoring, sleep apnea, Allergies, congestion, Extreme nighttime conditions, mouth breathing, and smoking. A persistent sore throat can result from a variety of conditions, including a handful of potentially dangerous infections, so it’s important to take healthcare help. If you have a persistent sore throat that isn’t due to an infection, it’s possible to treat your symptoms at home. You can try a few home remedies like drinking plenty of water, a steam treatment, and Gargle with saltwater. Thanks.
