Hello, I am 43 years old female. I was diagnosed with UTI last week and since then I am on antibiotic medications. Symptoms of UTI were frequent urination and burning sensation while urinating. Yesterday I spotted bloody urine. I am worried now please let me know is it normal to bleed from UTI?

@rachell Hello ma'am, Please visit a doctor if you have witnessed pink/red urine. Early treatment will help you avoid other complications. Nothing to worry it's normal for a UTI to cause bloody urine. It happens because the infection-causing bacteria in your urinary tract cause inflammation and irritation to your cells there. Your urine may look pink, red, or cola-colored. If you have bleeding from a UTI, see your doctor.
