Is exercise helpful in deep vein thrombosis?
Hello, I am 38 years old female with deep vein thrombosis. Deep vein thrombosis is caused when there is no proper blood circulation or it is caused when Anything that prevents your blood from flowing or clotting. Exercising improves blood circulation so will exercise be helpful in improving my condition?
@thom Hello, yes it is true. Exercise is important for people with DVT because it helps circulation. Aerobic activity -- things like walking, hiking, swimming can also help. According to a few studies, exercise also can improve deep veins thrombosis symptoms like swelling, discomfort, and redness. Physical activity can also make you feel more energized. Being active while having deep vein thrombosis is important. Before trying anything new please contact your doctor to prevent future complications. Thanks.
