Hello, I am 17 years old male. Every morning I have a running nose, sneezing continuously, and watery eyes. Is this a type of allergy? What can I do to treat it? I continuously sneeze after waking up my parents think I should get tested for COVID-19 but I don’t get any of these symptoms during the day. I get a runny nose and sneezing only in the morning.

@laetitia Hello, it seems you have allergic rhinitis. It is an inflammation that is caused inflammation of the inside of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mold, or flakes of skin from certain animals. AR is caused by allergens, which are usually harmless substances; however, when breathed in, they could trigger an allergic reaction in some people. An allergic reaction occurs when the person’s immune system overreacts to an allergen. You should talk to your doctor and get an allergy test which will detect you are allergic to which substance and hence you can take preventive measures to treat it.
