Hello, I am 25 years old male. My shoulder and neck start to pain every time I wake and during driving. I contacted my doctor. He asked me to take an X-ray, test reports were normal. He said This common joint problem can affect anyone. Tight shoulders can cause pain or stiffness in your neck, back, and upper body. Tight shoulders can be also caused by incorrect sleeping positions, and injuries. In my case, it would be an incorrect sleeping position as I usually experience pain after waking up. Please suggest what should I do to get rid of it?

@salvatore Hello, you can take Anti-inflammatory medication, remedies like a cold compress, heat therapy, pain medications, and exercises and stretches. The heat helps to relax tense muscles and soothe a stiff shoulder and a cold compress can help reduce swelling in the shoulder. Exercises like Shoulder raises, Shoulder rolls, Chin retraction, and Cross arm stretch may help you. Eating a healthy, balanced diet along with medication and exercise will be helpful. Please consult your doctor before trying any of these exercises. Thank You.
