Hello, When I reached out to the doctor for my swollen fingers he said there is nothing major after seeing my test reports. I am not allergic, nor have I met with an accident.
He asked me to stay hydrated and drink as much water as possible and exercise. Is it possible? A few days back I woke up with swollen fingers and reached out to my doctor. I have swelling only in my right. Is he right? Can dehydration cause swollen fingers?

@rachelle Hello, No dehydration doesn’t cause swelling in the fingers. swollen fingers; rather, excess fluid intake can potentially lead to swelling. Drinking excessive amounts of water, perhaps during a tedious exercise can cause hyponatremia, and hyponatremia can result in swollen fingers. When the body holds onto excess water, it can lead to swollen tissues in the extremities, especially in the fingers. Symptoms include bloating and puffiness.
