Hello, I am 18 years old female. I was diagnosed with muscle spasms a few years back, I still have pain in my lower back at times of overexertion. I recently joined a gym to lose some weight that I gained because of PCOS. When I consulted a doctor he said I shouldn’t do exercises like squats or anything that can cause pain in my lower back. Any suggestion is welcome, what is recommended? Is it recommended to perform squat exercises if I have pain in my lower back?

@imani Hello, yes you should avoid squats and other exercises like burpees, ABDOMINAL Crunches, Barback squats, and double leg lifts. They can cause discomfort and make lower back pain even worse. Even if you are performing squats you should be careful. You can try yoga poses that will help you in treating your back pain and also help you in losing weight. Thank You
