Hello, I am 22 years old female, diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome. I used rarely get my periods which leads to weight acne and acne. I contacted a dermatologist, she prescribed me isotretinoin to treat my acne. I have acne on the sides of my face and my forehead. Acne on the sides o my face is in the form of a cyst and they hurt a little. Should I consume isotretinoin? Is isotretinoin good for acne?

@quincy Hello, yes it is helpful. You can consume isotretinoin if it is prescribed by dermatologists. Isotretinoin It appears to reduce the size of the oil glands so that much less oil is produced. It also reduces cell shedding and the stickiness of cells in the follicles. Isotretinoin is generally very effective in helping prevent extensive scarring. Dermatologists prescribe isotretinoin to treat deep, painful acne cysts and nodules.
