What causes acne on the butt?
Hello, I am 19 years old male. I have acne on my butt. It is difficult for me to sit for a long time and I am even unable to wear jeans or any other tight clothes. Acne on my butt appears and disappears on its own. I was worried as they were painful and appeared like a cyst but my doctor said it was normal. I am taking medication to treat the same but I wanted to know the root cause of my problem. What is causing acne on the butt? What should I do to prevent it?
@ev Hello, acne on the butt is normal and it can appear at any age. There are multiple reasons for the development of acne-like blocked pores, Folliculitis, and keratosis pilaris, a very common skin condition. It causes small skin-colored or red bumps across the surface of the skin. These are the most common causes of butt-acne. You can prevent it by taking shower after exercising or any other physical activity which can make you sweat, do not scrub- scrubbing can make your acne worse, wear cotton undergarments- Cotton breathes better than synthetic material. Do not wear tight-fitting clothes, it can irritate your skin. Thanks!
