Hello, Angioedema is caused by the build-up of fluid deep under the skin. It can cause swelling under the eyes, lips, genitals, hands, and feet. My grandfather suffers from allergic angioedema. He is allergic to peanuts and has an allergic reaction every time he has peanuts in every form. Can anyone tell me what should we do to treat angioedema and how can we angioedema attacks?

@cäcilie-0 Hello, the best way to deal with and prevent allergic angioedema is to avoid the type of food that causes an allergic reaction. Allergic angioedema is treated by using a combination of antihistamines and corticosteroids to help relieve the swelling. Antihistamines work by blocking the effects of a protein called histamine, which is one of the chemicals responsible for causing your skin to swell. corticosteroids work by blocking many of your immune system's actions.
