Is there any vaccine for anthrax?

Hello, Can one take the anthrax vaccine to protect himself/herself from anthrax infection? Is there any vaccine for anthrax? Anthrax is an infection caused by the spore-forming bacteria called Bacillus anthracis. The bacteria produce extremely potent toxins which cause a skin ulcer with a dark scab to difficulty breathing. My colleague is suffering from anthrax after seeing his condition I am worried. Is there any vaccine that is developed for anthrax? If not then how it can be prevented?

@upagupta Hello, talk to your doctor as it is only recommended for people who are at an increased risk of coming into contact with or have already been exposed to B. anthracis. There is a vaccine that can help prevent anthrax. You can reduce your risk of anthrax by having the anthrax vaccine. The only anthrax vaccine that's approved by the FDA is the BioThrax vaccine. Preventing the disease in animals will protect human health. Although the anthrax vaccine is not available to the general public. Thanks.
