Reason for excessive eye mucus.
Hello, I am 33 years old female. Why do I release more than normal mucus? I don’t experience any sort of redness of the eyes, or pain but just excessive mucus. Is it a thing to worry about? Should I consult a doctor? Can anyone tell me what can be the reason for excessive eye mucus and what needs to be done?
@kacela Hello, it is normal to produce mucus that causes eye boogers but a few changes in lifestyle might cause excessive mucus in the eye. Excessive mucus might be caused by Some eye products, or contact lenses, dirt that gets collected near The eyes will produce extra mucus that can then get trapped in the eyes and on the eyelashes. Another cause might be a change in the climate. If the mucus is very thick, green, dark yellow, or occurs with pain or redness in the eyes, it could be a sign of an eye infection. Then please contact a doctor. Thanks!
