Does cinnamon help with acid reflux?
Hello, cinnamon is a spice that is used in Indian food. I heard it also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. I am 33 years old female, I experience heartburn and other acid reflux symptoms more often. My doctor told me I should include food that is good and relieve acid reflux symptoms. I came across some articles that mentioned the benefits of cinnamon in relieving acid reflux symptoms but it comes under spices which might trigger acid reflux symptoms. What should I do? Does cinnamon help with acid reflux?

Foods like cinnamon, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, mint, spicy foods, and acidic foods, such as tomatoes or oranges. These foods may irritate the lower esophageal sphincter, and eating large amounts of cinnamon may worsen acid reflux symptoms in some people.
