Being active helps to prevent certain cancers. According to various data, exercise majorly helps in preventing breast, colon, and prostate cancers. Studies show that regular physical activity can lower the risk of colon cancer between 17% and 30% and breast cancer risk by 20% to 30%. Exercise also lowers the risk of diabetes and heart stroke and it is considered more effective than drugs.

@omshree Physical activity is associated with a lower risk for several types of cancer, including breast, prostate, colon, endometrium, and possibly pancreatic cancer. Physical activity can help regulate some hormones that contribute to the development of cancer and help keep the immune system healthy. In fact, being overweight or obese is a factor in an estimated 14% to 20% of cancer deaths. No matter how much exercise you get it lowers the risk of developing several types of cancer, as well as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
