Hello, many people with overweight or obese experience knee pain. Many studies suggest, that losing weight can help reduce pain and lower the risk of osteoarthritis (OA). According to studies, OA affects people with a healthy weight but it affects 19.5 percent of those with grade 2 obesity. Please explain How does obesity causes knee osteoarthritis? Can I get OA later in life if I am overweight?

@siddharth-1 Osteoarthritis occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones wears down over time. Being overweight is an important factor in causing osteoarthritis, especially in weight-bearing joints such as the knee and the hip. Obesity may increase inflammation levels in the body, which may lead to joint pain. Losing weight can reduce this inflammatory response. You are might at a higher risk of getting OA. Please adopt a healthy lifestyle. Thanks!
