Why do I feel dizzy after 2 weeks of stapedectomy?
-
Hello, I had a left ear stapedectomy on 28 April, I can feel improvement in my hearing however, I still feel dizzy while walking. Any such experiences. A stapedectomy is a surgery to treat hearing loss caused by otosclerosis. It affects hearing by damaging your stape, a tiny U-shaped bone in your middle ear. Is there anyone who had a similar experience of feeling dizzy after a stapedectomy? Please recommend any suggestions. Thank You!

@barr Hello, I as well had my stapedectomy back in the last week of March. Dizziness is quite expected and is normal. I as well was dizzy, especially in the first week and it started to improve gradually. I am having a pulsation sound now since the operation yet was assured by the doctor that I will go away. Wish you all the best and remember to avoid getting any water in your ear . Thanks!
