Hello, if anyone on here suffers from muscle spasms and muscle twitching due to possibly a hormone fluctuation? Spasms, twitching, and now extremely restless legs all day long. Spasms are random but mostly in the arms, legs neck, and upper stomach. I have read that restless legs often hit women between 40 and 50 due to hormonal changes and menopause. Has anyone experienced the same?

@etsu Hello, yes hormonal imbalance does cause muscle twitching and spasms. Muscle tension is a common symptom as many women approach menopause. Women feel that their body feels tight, or their muscles are particularly tender. Taking some time to practice self-care on a regular basis can really help to keep any aches and pains you may be experiencing at bay. Hormonal imbalances, such as thyroid or cortisol, can also cause muscle twitching by altering the excitability of nerves and muscles. Other factors like stress, poor diet, Too much caffeine, dehydration, Medications, and Neurological disorders. Talk to your doctor. Thanks!
