Hello, A few days back I spotted a small bump on my vulva. I accidentally scratched it and I think it wounded up a little, it hurts only when it is touched with my urine or after urinating. I didn’t have intercourse in a long time, I have a history of vaginal infection treated with metronidazole 2 years ago. would like to know your opinion please help. Is it herpes, or yeast infection?

@kinzay Hello, I think it is herpes. Both conditions herpes and vaginal yeast infection may cause burning and itching of the vulva and vaginal opening. Both conditions may cause painful urination. A vaginal yeast infection doesn’t usually cause blisters and ulcers. Herpes presents with multiple blisters or sores on the same red base. Also, Herpes has scanty clear discharge from the blisters with a thin consistency and Herpes lesions can be preceded by fever, chills, and flu-like symptoms. Please talk to your doctor. Thanks!
