ECG normal but why do I feel dull chest pain on the left side?

Hello, I have been experiencing a dull chest pain in my left side which can get worse momentarily and feel sharp. it all started a day before yesterday, later that day went to the hospital for them to do an ECG and it come back normal. I am still getting this dull chest pain. I am worried it could be a heart problem. I am 24 years old male. with no family history of heart attacks however, on my paternal side, we have a history of diabetes. This pain is not felt anywhere else and does not radiate anywhere as of now. If everything is normal then why do I still have pain on the left side?

@bayley Hello, Having a pain, heaviness, or discomfort in & around your chest can be scary. It does not always mean that you are having a heart problem. There can be many other causes, like angina Panic attacks, Digestive problems, such as heartburn or esophagus disorders, Sore muscles, and Lung diseases, such as pneumonia, pleurisy, pulmonary embolism, and Costochondritis. Your ECG is normal as you said also have 2D echocardiography done. If they are normal then get a TMT / stress echo done. If they are also normal then you have nothing to worry about heart diseases. Thanks!
