Pain the chest and around ribs after gallbladder removal.

Hello, I am now 4 weeks post-ops today. Everything has been fine, post-surgery wasn't too bad and I have nearly full movement again. Just recently in the last couple of days, I am having slight pain in my chest and ribs area. It's not painful most of the time, but I can feel it when I breathe deep or lay on my side, or even if I bend over a little bit so that my chest compresses. Is this just a normal side effect of having surgery or should I be concerned?

@araj Hello, I dealt with it for about 7-9 weeks after my surgery. It comes and goes. But it's been pretty well for a while. I have heard, it's a side effect of the surgery. These issues could be around for 6-12 months. Even if your surgery wasn’t near the chest, you may have muscle soreness from lying on the operating table or because you're having trouble taking a deep breath post-surgery. If you can't manage pain with medication or if it lasts longer than your surgeon estimated, call your doctor. Thanks!
