Why does my lower back hurt after drinking alcohol? slightly elevated levels of protein.

Hello, I am 52 years male, I had a blood test, x-ray, and ultrasound, and all came back clear. I had a urine test, which although showed slightly elevated levels of protein, was deemed to be clear by the doctor. I have consumed alcohol and experienced lower back pain why? I experienced this a few months back also. Can anyone tell me Why does my lower back hurt after drinking alcohol? What this could be?

@medeo Hello, Drinking alcohol can be a risk factor for developing a sign of kidney disease, or protein in the urine (albuminuria). Excessive drinking–more than four drinks daily can affect your health and worsen kidney disease. Regularly drinking too much too often can also damage the kidneys. The damage occurs more slowly. Regular heavy drinking has been found to double the risk of chronic kidney disease, which does not go away over time. Even a higher risk of kidney problems has been found for heavy drinkers who also smoke. Please talk to your doctor. Thanks!
