Hello, two days back I had my cystoscopy done. I had some urination problems since the last so I had to undergo this procedure. I am 35 years old male. . Prior to this, I had no issues with my prostate, however since having the procedure done I feel as though the area has been bruised and with a dull ache around my lower back. The doctor suggested I should take painkillers only when it is too painful. the pain could take a week to subside. Can anyone tell me how much time it takes to recover from it?

@eathcote Hello, You may feel the need to urinate more often, and your urine may be pink. These symptoms should get better in 1 or 2 days. You will probably be able to go back to work or most of your usual activities in 1 or 2 days. Rest at home for a day or two – you may need to take a couple of days off work. make sure someone stays with you for the first 24 hours. If pain increases then immediately talk to your doctor. Thank You!
