Hello, I am 33 years old female. I am nondiabetic but my doctor told me I could become diabetic as my sugar levels are all over the place. I have a blood sugar testing meter from a couple of years ago when my doctor wanted my levels checked before and after meals. I am experiencing night sweats, and thirst for a couple of days so I tested my sugar level at home after having a meal. @bayo Hello, Fasting blood sugar level of Less than 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L) is normal. 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) is diagnosed as prediabetes. 126 mg/dL (7 mmol/L) or higher on two separate tests is diagnosed as diabetes. After eating For most people without diabetes, normal blood sugar levels are: between 4 and 6 mmol/L before meals. less than 8 mmol/L two hours after eating. 6.5 mmo/L for BG is fairly normal. Less than 4 is low, and over 7.0 mmo/L is high. Most diabetics will be temporarily high after meals though. It is best to get all tests and then with your doctor decide. Thanks!
