Hello, Sometimes I get a runny nose like you for an hour or so, often I'll start sneezing late in the evening for no apparent reason. I get runny noses that start randomly and are very brief. I get a couple of these flash runny noses every day. I took an allergy test and everything came back negative. My doctor said that I have nonallergic rhinitis. I heard about rhinitis but non-allergic rhinitis is even a thing? Can anyone share their experience?

@onan Hello, Nonallergic rhinitis is inflammation of nasal tissues that results in sneezing, congestion, and dripping in your nose. Nonallergic rhinitis happens when the tissues inside the nose become inflamed. For many people, nonallergic rhinitis results from exposure to certain triggers, like odors or certain medications. Some people develop this condition due to underlying health problems. This condition does not result from exposure to allergens. Nasal inflammation because of allergens is caused by allergic rhinitis. Inflammation might be due to exposure to certain triggers, including Smoke, Spicy food, Perfume, and Hormone medications, like birth control pills. There is no cure for nonallergic rhinitis. You can manage symptoms with self-care measures, changes to their environment, and medications. Nonallergic rhinitis caused by a viral infection usually resolves on its own without treatment. Thanks!
