Purple blotchy marks over my breasts. What could this be?
Hello, I am 54 years old female. I have been getting purple blotchy marks over my breasts more so on the underside than the top, I am very pale so the veins are also quite prominent. I have larger patches on both sides and my breasts especially the left one feels very lumpy and sore and occasionally I get a really deep stabbing inside. Please help! I am scared!!
@ayci Hello, Don not ignore this as it could be an early symptom of breast cancer. An early sign of inflammatory breast cancer is discoloration of the breast. A small section may appear red, pink, or purple. The discoloration can look like a bruise, so you might shrug it off as nothing serious. But breast redness is a classic symptom of inflammatory breast cancer. Inflammatory breast cancer is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that occurs when malignant cells block the lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. IBC is different from other forms of breast cancer because it commonly does not cause a lump or mass. Please contact your GP As soon as possible and take all the required tests. Thanks!
