Hello, I am a 24-year-old male. I have rarely ever measured my blood pressure except as I was feeling discomfort and constant headache so I had to visit a doctor. It read 130/90 and the nurse taking readings, that is very high and that I should get it checked out. I am a bit overweight, I am concerned about my condition. Please suggest effective ways to control it. What should I do?

@ianthina Hello, firstly take the medicines prescribed by your doctor. Blood pressure is the force that blood applies to the walls of arteries as it's pumped throughout the body. Normal blood pressure is Lower than 120/80 mmHg and high blood pressure is between 130-139/80-90 mmHg. The steps to lower your blood pressure aren't as painful as you may be thinking. If you're overweight, a loss of as few as 10 pounds can lower your blood pressure. Consume less salt, exercise, and eat healthy. I hope you see results. Thanks!
