Hello, my 4-years-old refuses to poo on the toilet and soils his pants. I have tried sitting him on the toilet when I see him make the poo face but he will scream to get off. I have tried a toddler toilet seat with a step, a learner's potty, or just the toilet, and nothing has worked. Please help. What can I do? What can I do to build this habit in his? Please suggest effective ways. Help!

@ethany Hello, set a routine. Routines and consistency help kids know what to expect and, more importantly, do things without too much resistance. When they’ve done the same things at roughly the same times for a while, they come to accept it as part of the norm. One of the best things you can do is to make sitting on the potty a regular part of your child’s day. Regularly take him to sit on the potty either at set times of the day. It can be challenging when your 4-year-old won’t poop on the potty after all this time. But as you can see, a few simple changes can be helpful. Thanks!
