Hello, I have been having unexplained upper abdominal pain for the past month, only when I eat. It has become severe pain anytime I eat a meal. I haven't really eaten much for the past few days because it hurts so bad afterward. My CT scan or blood work is normal. So what could this be? The pain is so severe it makes me not even want to eat anymore.

@rheo hello, Stomach pain after eating can also be attributed to gallstones, eating spicy foods, the stomach flu, lactose intolerance, food poisoning, appendicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, Crohn’s disease, and peptic ulcers. Stomach pain after eating may also be the result of a blocked blood vessel. The stomach pain could be caused by food intolerances, Stomach pain is a common symptom of celiac disease, IBS, Stomach pain after eating can also indicate pancreatitis, and Diverticulitis. Ask your doctor to prescribe you tests to identify the root cause behind upper abdominal pain after eating. Thanks.
