Low testosterone in 19 years old leading to depression. What to do?
Hello, I am 19 years old male and suffering from low testosterone, my first reading was 9.8 and the second reading as of late was 7.1. Feel terrible all of the time, very tired and sleepy all of the time, feel really unwell, sexually I have basically no sex drive, get no morning erections. I feel emotional and depressed at best of times, severe lack of energy. Everything is an effort to do. Constant headaches all of the time severe pressure in my head all day almost, had my eyes checked, and everything is normal. Feel depressed, angry, and have mood swings and emotions. Get hot flushes, stressed out, and severe headaches, but the biggest problem is a sexual problem. Please help!!!
@aden Hello, more evidence is needed to justify the association of testosterone levels with depression in older individuals. Depression, anxiety, irritability, and other mood changes are common in men and women with low T. However, researchers aren’t sure what causes the correlation. Testosterone therapy can boost the mood of many people with low T, particularly older adults. Hormone replacement therapy is a treatment option that helps restore normal testosterone levels. Low T may affect self-confidence and physical well-being. Insomnia, memory problems and trouble concentrating that may accompany low T may all be contributing factors. Try things like breathing exercises, exercise, or yoga. Thanks!
