Feeling weak and dizzy, I think it is because of hypoglycemia. Could it be?

I constantly feel weak, and tired. If I stand up and still for extended amounts of time I find myself getting dizzy and lightheaded. Two weeks ago, however, I was getting some lunch and waiting in a long line. The lightheaded feeling popped up out of nowhere (I felt pretty good before that, not even hungry but it was time to eat). After getting the feeling I was unconscious in less than one minute. I was only out for a few seconds and started feeling better immediately. People around me helped. Someone had me eat a bite of a cookie while I waited. Once the paramedics arrived they took my sugar and it was 60 which they said was below normal and gave me a coke. 30 minutes later it was 78 and they let me go. I felt better. I changed my lifestyle but the problem is on and off but has recently been quite bothersome. I have made a doctor's appointment.

@ydia Hello, these symptoms were all indeed due to hypoglycemia there should be documented evidence of hypoglycemia relating to the incident and recovery should follow with increasing blood glucose. Alcohol, medications, and excessive dieting can reduce blood glucose levels. Also rarely insulin excess could be produced by certain tumors like insulinomas which need to be ruled out in nondiabetic hypoglycemias.
