      Runners who were experiencing chronic back pain were at least twice as likely to develop knee pain as those without chronic back pain. The finding was based on data from more than 400 adults. When a runner comes in with pain, look beyond the area that hurts

        @saralya The primary outcome was PFP in runners with a history of low back pain, for which there was a statistically significant odds ratio of 2.54 (P = .028) in a logistic regression analysis that controlled for factors including age, sex, weekly mileage, and years of running.
