Hello, a mosquito bite that I got Monday became large weird shaped like a balloon shape, and was hot yesterday. I iced it and the swelling went down some and I also took allergy medicine assuming I was having a weird reaction to the bite. Should I be concerned? Please help!!

@eltraud Hello, As the mosquito is feeding, it injects saliva into your skin. Your body reacts to the saliva resulting in a bump and itching. Some people have only a mild reaction to a bite or bites. Other people react more strongly, and a large area of swelling, soreness, and redness can occur. Most local reactions to mosquito bites don't require any medical attention. However, constant itching and scratching can cause a secondary skin infection to develop. Symptoms may include persistent and even spreading redness, warmth, the development of abscesses, and possibly fever. Thanks!
