Terrible burning sensation in my chest on a hike?

Hello, I was on a hike and got an absolutely terrible burning sensation in my chest that kept coming and going throughout the walk back to the car the burning continued the rest of the day just not as bad and it has also continued to this day. It doesn't seem to respond. What this could be?
