Is nausea common after gallbladder removal?
-
Hello, I am 32 years old female. I am just two weeks after surgery. I feel nauseous first thing in the morning, think it is mostly just from the movement and strain of getting out of bed then it goes. Not quite got my same appetite back yet though. Sometimes it's worse in the mornings and I can hardly get out of bed it's that bad. I am just wondering if this happened to anyone else and how long did it take to go. It is starting to depress me now. Please help!!! Is this feeling common after gallbladder removal?

@jackyyy Hello, When the gallbladder is removed, special clips are used to seal the tube that connects the gallbladder to the main bile duct. But bile fluid can occasionally leak out into the tummy (abdomen) after the gallbladder is removed. Post-cholecystectomy syndrome sometimes occurs when abdominal symptoms develop after surgery to remove the gallbladder. How quickly you recover depends on whether you had laparoscopic or open surgery. For laparoscopic surgery, most people can go back to work or their normal routine in 1 to 2 weeks. But it may take longer, depending on the type of work you do. think your Doctor can give you pills to help with nausea have you been given anything? Thanks!!
