16 year old, Blood pressure 147/89 and higher readings
-
my son is 16 years old. he is very athletic, went to the doctor today. The doctor checked his blood pressure and it read 147/85. I was shocked and very fearful. I checked it again once he got home that night and it read 153/91. That night I couldn't sleep, I had a huge headache. He went to school and played a little volleyball. He got home and checked that it was 153/89. This morning he had 2 boiled eggs no salt, bread without butter, and a garlic clove. This morning it was 150/90. My aunt tells me it maybe be due to stress. He has a family history of Hypertension but I never guessed he could get it. Is there something you recommend? Will it go down? Can he play any sports?
