Irregular heartbeat while exercising.
-
Hello, I have been experiencing a weird and irregular heartbeat, especially when I am exercising at the gym. I'm not sure what exactly to call them but the experience basically feels like my heart feels it pumps really hard and then skips a bit or pauses for a second. It happens especially when I go on long or strenuous exercises. It happens a few times and usually, I'll stop and take a breath and the irregular beat stops as well. Then as soon as I start up again it happens. If anyone has any ideas or advice I would greatly appreciate it. I would go to the doctor but I do want to know, so any help would be great. Thank you.

@win-tim Hello, good to hear that your decision to visit a doctor. According to your symptoms, it seems like Exercise-induced arrhythmia. Exercise-induced arrhythmia is a type of arrhythmia that is brought on by exercise. During exercise your level of adrenaline increases, which can cause your blood pressure to rise. Adrenaline is released from a gland while you exercise and helps you to have a faster reaction. If you have arrhythmia it is important that you still exercise, as it is essential to a healthy lifestyle. However, it is also very important that you do it at a moderated rate to ensure that you do not trigger your arrhythmia. If you are unsure about what exercises you can and can’t do, then it may be a good idea to talk to a medical professional before you go ahead with it. Thank You!!
