        @quinten Treatment with tumor necrosis factor–alpha (TNF-α) antagonists, which is used for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and several other autoimmune disorders, has been associated with a significantly increased risk for TB. Reports have included atypical presentations, extrapulmonary and disseminated disease, and deaths. Patients scheduled to begin therapy with a TNF-α antagonist should be screened for latent TB and counseled regarding the risk of TB.
