Hello, Is it recommended to take antidepressant to treat depression caused during pregnancy? What should I do? I have been feeling lost lately and had a few panic attacks when I explained it to my doctor. He told me it is normal to experience this during pregnancy? Should I take antidepressants during pregnancy to treat depression? I am 27 years old female. Please suggest what should I do?

@tuah Hello, my recommendation for you would be to seek a doctor's help, and then you should take the prescribed medication. Is it safe but you should consult a doctor. A decision to use antidepressants during pregnancy, in addition to counseling, is based on the balance between risks and benefits. The biggest concern is typically the risk of birth defects from exposure to antidepressants. Thank You!!
