Effective ways to prevent UTI.
-
Hello, I got UTI twice this year. First I got it in January, then in May. I took antibiotics. I don’t know what causes recurring UTIs. Please tell me what should I do to treat/prevent recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs)? I am only an 18-year-old female. Back in January, my doctor said it might be caused by the common washroom I use in college but I stopped using the common washroom, I still got UTI. Can anyone tell me what can prevent UTIs? Thank You!!

@tair Hello, Women are at greater risk of developing a UTI. Infection limited to your bladder can be painful and annoying. You can take these steps to reduce your risk of urinary tract infections- Drinking water helps dilute your urine and ensures that you'll urinate more frequently allowing bacteria to be flushed from your urinary tract before an infection can begin, Drink cranberry juice, Wipe from front to back after urinating and after a bowel movement helps prevent bacteria in the anal region from spreading to the vagina and urethra, and Avoid potentially irritating feminine products. Thanks!
